Prasidh Krishna: Gujarat’s ‘wicket machine’ back on top!
Gujarat Titans (GT) fast bowler Prasidh Krishna returned to the top spot in the Purple Cap standings after taking 2 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He surpassed RCB’s Josh Hazlewood (18 wickets) with a total of 19 wickets this season. Prasidh’s accuracy in the death overs and the ability to hit bouncers have made him the main weapon of the team.
Hazlewood remains in second place: Strong performance despite injury!
RCB’s Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood did not play the RCB vs CSK match due to a minor injury but he remained in second place in the Purple Cap race with 18 wickets. Hazlewood has an economy of 7.5 and an average of 19.2 which shows the quality of his bowling. RCB’s bowling will be stronger once he is fit.
Krunal Pandya: ‘Dark Horse’ for RCB!
RCB all-rounder Krunal Pandya has taken fifth place in the Purple Cap standings with figures of 1/24 against CSK. Krunal kept the CSK batsmen tied down in the middle overs and prevented the innings from going on cruise control. His performance played an important role in the team’s victory by 2 runs.
