LSG vs DC, IPL 2025: Rahul took revenge from his old team, defeated Lucknow by 8 wickets in their home ground

In the match played at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, Rahul tested his loyalty by hitting a six over deep midwicket to his former team Lucknow Super Giants, giving a brilliant victory to Delhi Capitals with an eight wicket in hands. Due to this victory, Delhi Capitals secured the second position in the points table.

When the ball was behaving tricky on the pitch, KL Rahul showed his confidence by taking smart shots behind the wicket against the first two fast bowlers.

During the spin attack, Abhishek Porel and Rahul’s 69-run partnership was a bit quiet but in the 10th over, Porel released the pressure a bit by hitting a fabulous four against Aiden Markram with a reverse lap shot!

Porel and Rahul played the overpitched deliveries of Ravi Bishnoi very well in their own style! In the next over, both of them hit a brilliant six each, but left-hander mistimed the leg-side heave. Then DC had 8 overs left and needed 7 runs in per over to win the match.

Captain Axar Patel made the task easy by hitting two tremendous sixes to Bishnoi in the 14th over. When Axar-Rahul stunned with a six and a four on Shardul Thakur’s short deliveries, the result of the match was almost clear!

In the LSG innings, Markram-Marsh gave Lucknow a strong start with a tremendous 87-run partnership, but the collapse of the middle-order dashed the hopes. DC bowlers made the most of the opportunity in the best possible way.

Markram sent local boy Vipraj Nigam out of the boundary on the very first ball! Crowd’s cheers were following Markram, but when he was trying to clear the long boundary, Dushmantha Chameera caught him and silenced everyone!

As soon as Markram got out, the innings of the LSG started to collapse! Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad and Marsh returned to the pavilion within 3 overs. The collapse of the middle-order increased the tension of the LSG!

David Miller and Ayush Badoni kept the hopes alive with a 49-run fighting partnership, but sending Rishabh Pant at No.7 left everyone surprised!

Pant came to face the last 2 balls, but could not put the bat on the ball. This late gamble restricted LSG to just 159 runs!
